Al’s Bakery Breads and Cakes

Definitely my favourite place in Dublin. There’s no place in the city where you gonna get a better Breakfast Roll then here. The food it’s always fresh, coloured and as soon you have a look on that you can see the quality of everything.

Over a year ago they had change their coffee machine, so now they have one of the best coffees in Dublin, so don’t waste your opportunity and grab your cappuccino or latte with your sandwich and be happy.

So every December on my birthday I usually get a special cake with them, and last December I received the best cake of my life as you can see on the photo. The details are amazing, I just explained for the manager that idea what I had have on my mind and they did way better then I was expecting. The cake designer did a great job and I’ll keep that incredible memory forever in my heart.

But the best part of this place definitely it’s the staff, every week when I stop to eat in there I feel very comfortable, loved and in home. They are very respectful, threat you in very kindly way and fast, but not rushing you. You can see that how good they are because every time when you entry in there somebody it’s seating having a coffee and talking with them. That’s just happen in a happy place.

So thank you girls for the good times and as soon as I can I’ll be there again.

Sadly gone downhill in last month. Bread isn’t fresh anymore, always seems to taste and feel like day old bread rather than fresh bread. Never had this before with shop, so not sure what they have changed. Will have to look elsewhere for a bakery.

My new review. I did have 5 stars for here on Google. After my experience. 1 star enough. Only reason its getting that is the rude staff. Everything is over priced very much here. I use to order my birthday cake from here and never again. I ordered a 7″ round chocolate buttercream sponge cake. I told them no sprinkles and keep the cake plain in advance. My mam collected my cake on the 16th March and when i looked at it was very disappointed they added a flower decoration without contacting me or asking my permission. I removed the flowers. When I went to the shop and asked why the flowers were on the cake. This rude woman said well I just thought that you would like it. She then offered to remove it which made it look worst cause it was on the top part the cake. You have to ask the paying customer can you add anything on a cake as I need to know ingredients been used. You actually had no right. I wasn’t offered a new cake or a refund. Very terrible service. A staff member cannot just add onto a person’s cake cause you like it. It ruined the whole look of the cake taken it off as the rude woman said made it look worst as you could see were they put the decorations. I most definitely never order from here again. No manners for the customers. The cake was ok it wasn’t the best could of been done better. I definitely wouldn’t order my birthday cake from here never again. It was very messy looking. Staff is very rude. Much more better places to order from that the staff will actually do the cake right. I definitely wouldn’t go here again. I went in here with my mam and the manner was so rude saying why you here my mam was getting rolls made up people are allowed give there reviews when my mam was asking what was the problem with me being unhappy she kept saying the cake fine and wanted me to remove my reviews and apologise and they are the ones in the wrong. Reviews are allowed be given by people’s experience. She is the most rudeness person and the staff need be trained better they standing around doing nothing. Make sure you know what your ordering cause the staff seem to think they can do what they like to a cake. Completely wrong service. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this bakery to anyone. The Manger wouldn’t even stop messaging me and she thinks she can speak how she wants. If she can’t deal with bad reviews then she shouldn’t be a Manger. Such of the staff need learn respect and manners when dealing with a customer. I will have from now on such a great birthday with a better cake. I definitely never go here again.

I bought two bags of bread rolls which I thought it was strange that they are in sealed bags , I got home and they where stale . That’s the reason they have them in bags !! . Threw the lot in to the bin. I won’t shop here again . Stale bread !!!!
