Unfortunately not happy with the bread. Bought the olive bread and it was small for the price, the crumb was very tight (holes), crust was soft and very skimpy on the olives.
Had no trouble with the service. Perhaps their loaded pastries will be better.
The mushroom brioche was amazing. I like mushrooms but only as a side flavour like topping on a pizza but for it to be one of the main ingredients I was hesitant but pleasantly surprised with how well it shone and came together in this brioche.
The almond croissant was probably the best I have had to date. Most I have had tended tough or dry but not this. Even the ends of it was soft and delightful.
The prosciutto role tho was a let down. The bread was just too tough and it’s was just plain in terms of flavour… maybe this is how is supposed to be ?

First time trying and love it!
The croissant is slightlyyyy on the pricey side but definitely worth it.
Almond croissant is the best one I’ve had so far. It’s fragrant, with just the right sweetness. I personally prefer almond croissant to be less hard/flaky so this is perfect for me. Highly recommended if you have similar preferences.
Will go back for more!

My go to bakery of Melbourne. Try the ficelle with prosciutto, it’s so good! The mushroom pie is yummy and perfect small size too

📝: Baker D Chirico is one of Melbourne’s go-to bakery for all kinds of baked goods from loaves, danishes, cakes, and pies. Such a warm and homely interior full of wooden shelves and timber. They also sell a selection of pantry products such as spreads, jams, biscuits, and muesli.
❤️: Had a taste of everything and I have to say that my favorite was none other than the 🍊🍰 Flourless Orange Cake. So dense and fragrant—I love any citrus-sy bakeries honestly! The ❤️🥧 Rhubarb Tart, imo, did not have enough rhubarb flavour though 😔.
