What do Bourke Street Bakery Surry Hills visitors reviews this place?
Visited this lovely corner shop bakery for a coffee and a cake, what a great place this is. Staff were welcoming, helpful and amicable. All the cakes and pastries looked very tempting so decided on the almond praline crossaint which was recommended and did not disappoint. Will definitely try to return to sample a couple of more cakes, savouries, breads while watching the world and the trams pass by. If your in need of a coffee and a cake this is definitely the place to visit!
One of my most favorite cafe visits in Sydney! The flat white was spot on, the Ginger Creme Brulee tart was to die for, the ambiance was laid-back (disclaimer tho, i visited Bourke Street on a gloomy, cloudy day so that may or may not have contributed to the ambiance 😂), and did I mention that the Ginger Creme Brulee tart was a must? Hahaha! I literally had to buy another tart just to savour it fully.
The staff was friendly and accommodating although the pies tho were just okay, nothing really special about them.
Overall, I’d definitely go back not only for the coffee but especially for the pastries 👌

Love love love the beef brisket with red wine & mushroom pie! 💯💯💯 It was really yummy 🤤🤤🤤 am currently missing it now as I’m doing this review. Generous fillings and the beef briskets were tender and succulent 🤌🏻
Coffee is good as well. Only downside was the limited space, and of course the pigeons 😅😂 however it was worth the little wait (for a table) and I love how calm and peaceful it was on the day I went.
Great job and lots of love from Malaysia! 🫶🏻 will drop by Bourke Street Bakery if I every have the chance again! 😉
Still a classic and top notch bakery. Loved the baked goods and pies served with delicious home made tomato sauce. Coffee by Sunny Coffee. Must visit if in Sydney.
Don’t miss out on the chocolate hot cross buns-Scoffed it so fast there’s no picture. So here’s a photo of a very filling bolognaise toastie. 10/10. Coffee also great.
