Buns From Home

Tried the caramel apple crumble weekend special – out of the world. SUBLIME. The vanilla custard with apple compote was phenomenally delicious. The sweetness was just about right. I don’t really have a sweet tooth but I think it worked perfectly for me. For the size of the bun (which is huge), I think it is fairly priced with good quality. Highly recommend! But be prepared to queue during busy times!

Came on a sunny Sunday afternoon so had to queue for a bit. But the queue moved pretty fast and it was very worth the wait!!

After hearing so much about Buns From Home, I finally decided to try them during my Saturday morning walk.

I got the savory spinach and feta bun (£4) and the sweet cardamom bun (£3.50). Both buns were delicious and made with care. My favorite was definitely the savory one.

Unfortunately this is the only positive I can say about this particular branch. The staff wasn’t very welcoming as I ordered and payed for my food. I understand there are days where we all don’t feel our best, but a simple “hello” and “you’re welcome” would have sufficed.

I would have loved to get a carry on box like in the pictures (not sure if those got discontinued), but had to carry both buns in little brown bags, was was not an issue, but proved to be a bit difficult to transport.

I have also been charged £8 instead of £7.50 for the buns.

I would love to go back and give this place a second chance, because they buns were genuinely good.

Exquisite buns/sweets! Absolute perfection in every bite. The flavors are divine, and the texture is just right. A must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth, as it defines the epitome of delicious treats!

Super service, quick and friendly. The buns are huge: deeply filled and really tasty. Lots of flavours to choose from and reasonably priced. Fun!

5/5 Tiramisu Bun — crisp and fluffy croissant bun, deep coffee flavor from the soaked lady finger, and incredibly smooth vanilla custard !!

4.5/5 Pistachio Bun — super fragrant nuttiness from the pistachios, amazing cardamom flavor as well! Just a tad too sweet for my preference.
