Buns From Home

Super fast service in store though I wish it could be polished slightly. For purchasing such a product that has such a high price for what it essentially is I would expect a more smoother customer experience.

In terms of the product itself it was good. My favourite flavour was the original cinnamon one however the chocolate was also very nice. I feel that the pistachio was quite lack lustre and didn’t pack a big pistachio punch.

I was not a big fan of their minimalist packing – there is minimalist and there is also cheap? From a company with the amount of stores that they have I would recommend them to invest in this further as this will take their brand to the next level.

There could be a queue so be prepared to spend quite some time here. A lot of times the buns with fillings are sold out but I was lucky to get my favorite the cream cheese ones today. The buns without fillings are good too but I prefer the ones with fillings. I brought them back through a 11 hour flight and they are still good.

Great spot if you know what to buy and what to avoid. I’ve had most donuts this place offers; most of them are decent and some of them are delicious.

Any donut with custard/cream will have way too much. Keep that in mind, they get very messy. Of them the Tiramisu and strawberry cheesecake ones standout.

If you are getting one without creams, buy it fresh when it’s made or don’t bother. Some of them dry out a lot on the outside. Of them I really liked the banana one, although it does have too much cardamom.

We tried the Classic cinnamon bun, which was pretty nice, very great textures when eating, but weirdly not a strong cinnamon taste at all. Still nice, but have to queue, plus the price.

I’d read rave reviews about their cheesecake bun, so I decided to dive in. They don’t hold back on the cream cheese filling, and the combo is spot-on. Not overly sweet, super satisfying—although one bun practically equals a meal for me! 😄
