Thank you to Garry,Barista who served us with exceptional lovely manners so kind and courteous and helped us with two of our cake selections. They were delicious my husband and i went halves in a lemon tart and an Apple cake. The shop seemed very pleasant, happy staff. Neat and clean old fashioned country bakery, Tony the owner, David pastry cook. And Xzavier
This gets my 5 star rating. Sausage rolls are so delicious. But their chocolate eclairs…. WOW!! Best I’ve ever had. Just a short walk from Bourke st mall
We chose to come here because of good reviews and we weren’t disappointed! Friendly greetings by staff; delicious (and swift) coffee, yummy chocolate croissant and great lunch options to take away. An oasis of reasonably priced country-style food and old fashioned service, in the middle of The Big Smoke.
Has a good selection of pastries. Went there to try the pie.
Got myself the traditional, bacon n cheese and black pepper.
Firstly, I am Not a pie person/expert.
This just a personal experience, the traditional and bacon and cheese were too salty for my liking. Maybe that’s how pies are supposed to taste. The meat was soft and tender.
The black pepper really was the best of the lot. Maybe the black pepper masked the saltiness. I’d say go for the black pepper ifi a not being too salty about it.

The best sausage roll in Melbourne! Doesn’t need any sauce and it’s not missing anything. Pies are pretty good too and so are the honey joys which are impossible to stuff up. Lovely staff however it’s a little bit on the steep side for bakery food.
