About this restaurants :
I wouldn’t pretend to be able to review the food as an expert and I am very surprised about the negative reviews.
We were very happy for the overall experience and quality of food.
The afternoon tea experience is different from everything else we tried on the same level/price of hospitality in the city, it is all about quality(over quantity)flavours, textures, attention to details and customer service.
It is worth to try at least a pastry/cake and coffe(expect to spend a premium price for it, as for everything in fine dining/luxury environment ).
We had an amazing time, food and service was excellent.
What an amazing experience! The pastries were delicious – though the famous croissant wasn’t available when we visited (Nov 23). All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and I definitely recommend seeing the toilets! I won’t elaborate, you have to see it for yourself!
Naturally everything is really expensive, but you’re not visiting a place like this for the same reasons as you would a local bakery or a Starbucks.
Cedric Grolet at The Berkeley exceeded all expectations! The Parisian Flan and the Waffle Flower were absolute standouts—each bite a taste of culinary perfection. But it wasn’t just the delectable treats that impressed; the service was truly outstanding, with attentive staff ensuring a memorable dining experience. And let’s not forget the ambiance—the place is simply gorgeous, setting the perfect backdrop for indulging in Cedric Grolet’s masterpieces. Whether you’re a dessert aficionado or simply looking for an extraordinary culinary experience, Cedric Grolet at The Berkeley is a must-visit.
Exceptional. Highly recommend the goutea (their take on an afternoon tea). You get to try basically everything and everything is genuinely incredible. The vanilla flower was my favourite (so much so I bought a full sized one to take home). Not cheap, but worth it as an experience to get the very best patisserie you can. The savoury bits were also a wonderful surprise, as I hadn’t really thought about them, but the arancini was brilliant (my husband was a big fan of the savoury filled croissant).
Book the goutea and have a wonderful time!

French bakery in the heart of the city. Very friendly and welcoming stuff. If you want to sit inside you need to make reservation in advance. Flower cake is out of the world!!! The moment u try one spoon – you cannot wipe it out of ur memory!!! Yea it’s pricey but it’s really worth it. The only NO was for me the croissant. I don’t know why they serving it cold?…it was nice, but average… don’t waste you calories for it. Definitely come for a flower cake. They starting to sell it after 12. The best thing I ever had!!!
