About this restaurants :
I was visiting London and had to go to china town and try out these hyped dishes. One in my bucket list was the china town bakery. Tried few diff items from there – everything is decently priced .
1. Red bean – taiyaki – it was nice but I have had better in Canada may be because it was not that hot.
2. Taiyaki custard ones – those were steaming hot and really tasty.
3. Pork Bun – not regular bun but in a puff pastry it was really good.
4. Tried they tea in a bottle
5. Egg tart – it was really good too great texture and not overly sweet.

It was a good experience ❤️
Very busy but lots of variety and all freshly baked. The shelves were being emptied as soon as the staff filled them.
The pandan cake is light as air and really tasty. The coconut bun was incredibly dry so had to be heated up at home to be enjoyable.
The roast pork bun was the star of the show. A good amount of filling and really tasty.

The buns weren’t as fresh as I expected them to be.
The lady is kinda rude I asked if I could microwave my bun and she went no that’s for staff only!!
I mean wasn’t going to cause no harm if I used it for 20 seconds.

Overall an okay ish experience, they’ve got a wide variety of buns, not as fresh as you might expect them to be, but for a 2 quid worth, it is reasonable.
The lady on the till was nice and helpful.
Not been to China Town for years and was looking forward to my Chinese meal.
The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent and great value for money.

ALWAYS packed, not really much room or time to mill around so took me a few trips to actually see all they have and i’m probably still missing shelves. everything is delicious and everyone is very hard at work and helpful if you need anything. the super soft fluffy triangle cake is a MUST. but i’ve bought many things from pork buns to bread to an entire tiramisù cake. i’ve introduced several people to it. never a complaint from me or the others. highly recommend !
