What do Chu Bakery visitors reviews this place?
Amazing pastries, the cinnamon scroll is the best I have ever had! Service was friendly and quick, unfortunately one item was wrong but overall still a 5 star bakery.
Will definitely be back.
Will definitely be back.
Five stars for atmosphere if you decide to select your most delicious, light and flaky treats across the road to eat under a gorgeous tree at Hyde Park. I only get to Chu a couple times a year because we live in Mandurah so when I do make it, I buy a selection of goodies. My favourites, Raspberry croissant, Almond Croissant, and today I had a saffron and pistachio tart which was divine! Always friendly service and I never felled pressed to rush despite the line trailing back down the street!
There is no sitting or dining table, so basicly grab and go. But you can sit in the park across the bakery. Better come in the morning, the line not that long, but if you come a bit late than expect long line.
Finally, I have a chance to try out the pastries at the famous Chu Bakery located at Highgate, not too far away from Perth CBD.
The croissants, baguettes, tarts and donuts look fresh and delicious. I bought the traditional croissant, chocolate croissant and vanilla eclair. Unfortunately, the almond croissant was sold out and perhaps will try again next time.
The best part is that you can buy a cup of coffee together with the foods and cross over to the opposite park for a picnic. It is wonderful experience to enjoy the coffee and foods in the beautiful park.
Prepare to wait the get the coffee and foods as there is always a queue to enter the bakery. The counter staff are friendly and the serve the customers rather quickly.
I will definitely be back to try out other items.
Most bakery goods are flavourless and sickly sweet, and then every once in a while, a place like Chu crosses your radar. Exceptionally well done, sweet treats, each individual item having a distinct flavour. This is a bakery worth lining up for!
