Ciabatta Cafe & Bakery

We love this place! Great food, great atmosphere, great employees! The design of the Bakery is very creative and unique! We are a family from Switzerland and we went on a roadtrip on the North Island and we never found another place that had such delicious bread and desserts! The coffee is amazing too! We feel that everything in the Bakery is done with love! Also, even though it is often busy, the noise doesn‘t travel far. We highly recommend this place!

Looks incredibly closed and a little cold-natured with the blacked out windows from the outside but it couldn’t be further from the truth inside.

Delicious and affordable sandwiches and pastries. The decor inside is quirky and welcoming. Service was quick and efficient. The only downside was that there is limited parking. It’s in more of an industrial area – but was well reviewed and close to our afternoon plans as tourists. We are definitely glad we came.

Could not recommend this cafe enough! We were lucky to find it on day one in Rotorua and we returned for all 3 days we were there. The toasted sandwiches were great for breakfast/brunch. The desserts were excellent. Can highly recommend the cronuts. Also loved the pretzels. The place is surprisingly large inside with plenty of seats and cosy booths. They have games and books to browse if you wanted to stay longer. Free wifi. Parking out the back. High chairs available. Would go again and again and again!

I had a delicious sandwich and cronut which was the perfect amount for my lunch. The staff were friendly and quick. There were lots of places to sit to eat. The decor was fun to look at and the bathrooms were clean.
