What do Daily Bread — Ponsonby visitors reviews this place?
The line was out the door calling our attention to stop here for breakfast. Fun vibe, friendly ans efficient staff and good selection from sweets, lunch, and all your daily bakery needs can be found here.
We enjoyed the ham, Swiss, and everything topping croissant.
can’t comment on their other stuff that I only had a plain croissant + latte. croissant was below average, soft from the outside, not flaky nor crispy. coffe was ok…
Enjoyed the pack of hot cross buns last week and have been a regular at different Daily Bread outlets. Morally I can’t spend more of my money at Daily Bread when it’s used on inhumane poison. Buy some water pistols for guests to shoo the birds away, or a dozen other humane pest eradication strategies. I’ve enjoyed the years of coming here but won’t anymore.
Daily Bread’s outfits are always humming. Coffee is top notch every time and I’m a huge fan of their hot cross buns.
It is a shame people are so eager to join the ‘mob’ these days. Frankly I prefer my food without rodent and bird droppings and diseases, and I prefer eating from venues with a strong food grade rating.
No doubt the mob prefers their food to be sanitary too, but evidently are not capable of seeing the forest for the trees – a good reminder that 50% of the population has a below-average IQ.
I used to frequent your cafe in Ponsonby and to be truthful, I stopped going before learning that you were poisoning birds to maintain health and safety standards.
The reason for my decision was the lack of hospitality from your staff despite the high price of pastries and coffee, your team lacks common sense and prefers to stay behind the counter rather than engaging with customers on the floor, clearing tables, and offering a warm welcome. It is not surprising that your Pt. Chev Cafe has cleanliness issues when your staff does not prioritize maintaining a clean and high-standard environment (read your past google reviews).
Mr. Hishon and Mr Helm, you two operate multiple businesses and presumably have enough financial resources, I have two requests for you:
1) Could you please explore more sustainable methods for keeping your business clean?
2) Can you review and improve your employees’ attitudes, and consider ways to create a more positive work environment as a business owner? Perhaps fostering a culture of kindness and support could lead to a more enthusiastic and welcoming team.
