Located right by Portobello Market in London, is a cool spot we tried. We had this almond Danish there, and honestly, it was amazing. It was packed with fillings, had a bit of a cardamom taste to it, and was super fresh. You could even smell the fresh sourdough they sell, which was nice. The only downside was that there weren’t many places to sit. It got pretty busy, and we ended up waiting around 5-10 minutes to get a seat. But if you don’t mind a short wait, it’s definitely worth checking out. The pastries are top-notch.

Limited selection, overrated and overpriced. Bought a wheat-rye mix half loaf that I couldn’t see the inside of because the lady cut it with her back to me obscuring it. Sure enough, when I got home I found the bread had more holes in it than swiss cheese! (see pic) Really? Who wants this kind of bread? Especially at this price? You can’t spread things on it! Not only that, availability of certain items is unreliable. Furthermore, it seems they would only make a small batch of a type of bread that quickly disappears because a lot of people are buying it. I don’t get this. Why don’t they make more? This is not rocket science. The whole place comes across as a snotty, up themselves bunch who just don’t care about customers and what they would really want from their bread.

The buns are nice but seriously over rated. Was planning to have 2-3 different ones, but after having one cold, ok tasting cinnamon bun wasn’t looking for more. Few seating place although the normal thing is to walk in, pick up and take away.

the dough is nice. flavors are ok. the vanilla bun is balanced and not over powering. was I loving it? no. was it worth the calories? no.

Great bakery! The person on the counter was super friendly. We got the cardamom bun and almond bun. Wow!! Just wow! Nice place to stop and have some delicious baked goods as you walk around the market
