NOTE: Smile while you are queueing, and be patient. The team works hard and are the most polite. The queue moves fast too.

LOVED the pies here, they’re the best I’ve had! 🙂 came here on a weekday around 2pm and boy was it crowded, but the queue cleared really quickly and we were able to get a table within a minute.

Had the bacon and salmon pie, and mince and cheese pie, both were spectacular! Took a photo of the salmon pie cos I was so impressed with the huge chunks of salmon in it!

Also loved that this space seems to serve as a community gathering space of sorts. Lovely town and lovely people with great hospitality and smiles. 🙂

Will be back for more!

*EDIT:* Returned the next day and the queue at noon was crazy!! But, I managed to get my hands on the venison cranberry pie, and pork belly apple sauce pie, and they were TO DIE FOR ♥️ Thank u Fairlie Bakehouse team for bringing joy to our bellies through your pies! 🥧

This was recommended by others and we weren’t disappointed. We stopped in twice – on both occasions the service was fast, pies fresh and plenty of seating. We stopped at 7am and 3pm and both times of the day, they had most pies available and were still being cooked. The pork belly and steak pies were some of the best I’ve had.

The one of the best pies I ever had. The queue is long. We had the creamy salmon and bacon pie and steak mushrooms pie. Both are super delicious. If you are passing the town, it’s worth to stop by and check it out.

Had the vegan spiced curry pie (not spicy) & it was delicious! Chunks of potato & carrots with green lentils in a creamy curry sauce. Very filling. If you arrive in the morning, wait for this pie. I did & it’s well worth the wait. Also prefer the raspberry muffin over blueberry. Nice combo of tart & sweet.

We ordered vegetarian, creamy chicken pie and a muffin. The muffin was OK but the pies were very delicious. Probably the best pies we had during our nz trip.

There’s a long queue but the staffs have been very efficient in the ordering process.
