What do Flour and Stone visitors reviews this place?
My favourite was Mango & Coconut Bundt. I wish they made it in a cake, would love to get it for my birthday.
Staffs were so friendly and helpful, especially when you try to decide what to order lol. Everything was delicious. Coffee was good too.
Location is really convenient because it’s literally in front of the bus stop.
There was a paid parking just adjacent to the store $9 for 0.5h. We decided to get takeaway and head into the store. After queuing for sometimes, the staff addressed the lady few line in front of my wife to go to the other store for take away (I didn’t quite hear it but I decided to go down and see as there was people queuing). Not long after, my wife came to the takeaway store saying she was sent there by the staff. As she saw there wasn’t any pain au chocolate in the takeaway store but there was one in the dine in, she rushed back to the store trying to get it but with no luck as the customer in front of her already got it.
When I was served in the takeaway store, the staff said they didn’t have the product that I was looking for and told me to go to the other store. I told him that I was sent here for the first time and if he can get it from the other store as they persist I can’t transact over there?
The male staff was trying to defuse the situation by offering almond croissant instead. I ended up going into the dine in store to talk to the lady about my experience and say that there should be a sign to help customer understand their abrupt system.
She pointed out that there is indeed takeaway sign over there. I insisted that there should be a sign on the dine in store too as customers, especially first timer will not expect this and ends up spends time queuing first before they were told to move to the other store.
The way of they are doing their service is unusual. May it be because space constraints etc. This contributes to negative experiences for first timer. I feel disappointed to be ping ponged between two stores and ended up not getting what I came for.
The value for money isn’t great either. There are many comparable businesses offering similar products at this price point with arguably better accessibility and less hassle.
I just don’t get their 2 ways systems, and that’s fine. But please do put a clear standing sign on the dine in store to direct customer to the other store as relying on staff to check people on the line isn’t reliable.
