Get Baked in Leeds offers a delightful array of treats that are both a nod to nostalgia and a feast for the senses. Our recent visit included a sampling of their famed Bruce cake, birthday Bruce cake, and the Bruce candle, along with the Bruce drink. The Bruce cake, inspired by the iconic scene from “Matilda,” was deliciously rich and intensely sweet—so much so that, regrettably, we couldn’t finish it all. The stout-like Bruce drink, however, didn’t quite hit the mark for me, but the aromatic Bruce candle beautifully captured the essence of the cake, filling the air with its enticing aroma.

We also tried the OG brownie and the Mississippi mud brownie, both of which were exceptionally tasty. The OG brownie was a classic done right, and the Mississippi mud brownie was wonderfully indulgent, with just the right balance of chocolate and texture. Overall, Get Baked offers a unique and mostly enjoyable dessert experience, though some offerings might be a tad too rich for those with a milder sweet tooth.

We got insanely lucky and managed to check out a Bruce candle and the Bruce pudding – we were trying to get the cake but it sells out almost immediately – which we were prepared for. To fill the Bruce shaped void in our hearts we quickly checked out the Bruce pudding and were blown away.

I HAVE NEVER LAUGHED SO HARD AT PACKAGING. So lol.

AND THE PUDDING – so much goodness in a box. It was still fresh when we got it and also lasted us two days.

Definitely worth the hype !! The brand and the cake have convinced me to take a trip up to Leeds or maybe the new Manchester shop 😉

Hands down the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had!!!! The Golden Bruce, just unreal. Epic sized slice. Well packaged too. Worth every penny. Good delivery time. All round amazing experience. Love it!!!

Never had the pleasure of visiting myself, but an insta super fan and so my hubby goes on his monthly trip to Leeds with work – Tried various brownies and cookies, which are all fab, but it’s all about BRUCE and the PIES. Mr Pistachio is the best non-chocolate based dessert I’ve ever had (I eat a lot of dessert) and Bruce is simply the greatest chocolate cake on earth, bar none. Don’t be put off by the prices, every portion is perfectly shareable, if you’re willing. Oh and try their BBQ sauce, it’s ridiculously good!!!!!!

I feel I am much better qualified than these divvies leaving 2-3 stars (for not being able to get a slice and moaning about it) to leave an accurate review here.

Having been the proud owner of a full cake of Birthday Bruce, multiple slices of Bruce, Golden Bruce (the best imo) and Bruno, gobbled brucey’s balls many times. Ate more cookies, brownies and bake at home puddings than I probably should have and enjoying every second of it, I can assure you, you can take my word as gospel!

Get Baked use high quality ingredients to create genuinely delicious baked goods at a fair price point. The online store is easy to navigate and well organised. Drops of Bruce do sell out quickly but if you are well prepared it’s easy enough to grab a slice. The actual store is a a really nice, aesthetically pleasing and friendly environment and I need to come back ASAP to sample some sundaes and pies which I have no doubt will be equally as bloody delicious as the rest of it!

Overall I’d say this place is a belter. The staff are sound and the scran is sounder. Anyone telling you otherwise is a lying toerag and I’ll mollywhop their heads off for the slander 👌🏻
