Hot Cakes Capitol Hill

Hot Cakes, let’s start with this has got to be one of the best ideas ever! Molten cakes are a heavenly creation. The only issue which is a personal problem, is that the cakes are too small. They leave you wanting more. We ordered:
-Apple & Brioche Bread Pudding: rosemary toffee, buttered brioche bread, apples , candied cranberry sauce (this dessert was a definite game changer. Not a huge fan of the toffee but I would order again)
-Peanut Butter Molten: Theo chocolate, PB fudge, PB caramel, toasted peanuts( for all my peanut butter lovers this is the one!)

The molten lava cake with most delicious dark chocolate with strawberry lava! A must try if you are around. They have multiple dairy free and vegan options.

lava cake + ice cream = what’s not to love especially on a cold day? Must try the chocolate decadence and it’s obvious why it’s a fan favorite. Rich, warm, gooey – get a scoop of ice cream, then dig into the hot cake to have both in a single bite 😋 albeit it’s very rich and will coat your mouth… so a bit overwhelming halfway through. Wish there’s more ice cream (and not so much crushed caramel-candy toppings so there’s a balance of refreshing to the sweetness of the hot cake. The atmosphere is chill and roomy. Friendly staff that offered much needed water!

A lovely spot to pop by with friends and get cozy with a warm treat during the cold winter months 🙂

You can never go wrong with warm cakes and ice cream, but it was little over-hyped in my opinion and the cakes were a little too gooey for my liking. We got the Gooey Brownie Cake and Dark Decadence, and I’d suggest ordering to share, because the cakes were quite rich for either person to finish.

Would definitely recommend if you have a sweet tooth and will be coming back to try other items on the menu!

This is a must visit spot for chocolate lovers. Hot cakes also has a frequently changing seasonal menu that vibes with the weather in Seattle!
This place is open till midnight on weekends and is the perfect spot to visit for your dessert cravings! The place has a very cute ambience to sit down and dine with friends as well.
