Inner West Swedish Baker

Had the pleasure of accidentally coming across these guys (they were lovely) at the Warrandyte Riverside market on Saturday, thought I’d stop & purchase some sourdough from them, there were many options but the Pumpkin & Sage sounded amazing, so that’s what I chose…….. Amazing it was…. 🤤
The flavours, the texture, freshness, density & moistness was perfect 👌🏽
It’s a pity this bakery is so faraway from me (eastern suburbs)
Can’t wait to find you at the market again.

I’ve been living in Australia on and off for a year and tried many local foods, but the Swedish Bakery takes the cake. Their meat pies sausage rolls are phenomenal and their iced lattes are perfect. Their baked goodies are addictive. From the sweet treats to the savoury pastries, there’s something about the quality and flavour that keeps me coming back for more each week!

Such yummy goods. Highly recommend the meatball, lingonberry and cheddar pastry. The vegan tofu ans shiitake pie was curry flavoured.
Nice flavours in the bullar but a bit too doughy for our liking.

Hey! So yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting the owner of the bakery shop. I asked him the age-old question of who makes the better pies – New Zealand or Australia? And you know what? The pie I had there was hands down the best pie I’ve ever tasted in Australia! I’m so glad I got to try it out. Thank you so much for being amazing!

Love the pies and pastries, very nice atmosphere inside.

My only slight complaint is the consistency of the cookies.
When done right, they are by far the best choc chip cookies I have had in my life, but then sometimes they are a bit overcooked and hard, losing that perfect consistency.
Maybe it’s just personal preference.
