What do Janus Bakkerij visitors reviews this place?
Roomy cafe with beautiful ambience and wonderful bakery items. Had the pie and flat white and both were what you expect good food to be. My pie was the steak jalapeño and cheese pie which was really good. The combination is not a common one, but it works amazingly well.
Outstanding bakery. Efficient and friendly service. Excellent coffee. We both had the pancakes and they were the best in a long time. Nice bacon and excellent maple syrup. I was not sure about the butterscotch advertised with it, but decided to try it. It was worth it. Portions were large. Very slightly more expensive than some places, but the quality and portions make it good value for money
Indulging in the Biscoff donut paired with a quad shot of espresso was a true delight! The rich flavors created a memorable experience, and I’m already planning a return visit to further explore their enticing brunch offerings.
The staff’s pleasant demeanor and efficiency stood out, ensuring that orders arrived promptly and hassle-free.
The space itself is aesthetically pleasing, providing a delightful setting to gather with family and friends for a meal.
The array of options, from cabinet food to cakes, pastries, and bread, promises a diverse culinary adventure. Eagerly anticipating my next visit to savor more of their tempting offerings.
Great place to have brunch, or lunch. Came here with friends and has the eggs benedict. We also had cupcakes as we celebrated 2 birthdays. Amazing selection of cabinet food.
Eggs Benedict is a staple in NZ and every now and then you find a standout and my meal at Janus Bakkerij was certainly that. With options to have it served on toast or hash, I chose the latter. Thick square hash cakes cooked to perfection with crispy bacon (this is rarer) and a twist on Hollandaise sauce with a touch of seeded mustard that was simply inspired. . You know it’s good when you sit calculating how many more breakfasts you can squeeze in before flying home. Highly recommend.
