The grand-finale of the day was, of course, the desserts at Junior’s! Starting with their Strawberry Flavoured Junior’s Skyscraper Ice Cream Soda, it was a deep dive into nostalgia with a modern twist. The perfect blend of strawberry ice cream and whipped cream transported me to a blissful state, reminiscent of childhood joy and summer days. Yet, amidst this sugary dream, the soda itself felt somewhat lackluster, not quite living up to the effervescent fizz I was expecting. It seemed to play second fiddle to the already sweet ensemble on my table, craving a bit more sparkle to stand out. The original cheesecake, however, was nothing short of a masterpiece. It struck a delicate balance between density and creaminess, rich in flavor yet surprisingly light on the palate. Each bite shouted what a NY style cheesecake should be, with its thin layer of sponge cake at the bottom rounding off the experience beautifully. It was as if each bite was carefully crafted to convey the essence of the city itself – bold, sophisticated, and utterly irresistible. Red Velvet Layer Cake, a vibrant contrast of colors and textures. The cheese icing sandwiched between each tender, yet dense layer of cake kept me on a sugar high that I didn’t want to end. Each layer a blend of softness and rich flavor that danced on the tongue.

Fantastic Place to enjoy food, excellent service and great interior.

The kitchen Staff did a great job, they definitely know what they are doing.
The Omelette was very nice with fresh ingredients and well presented.
The pancakes were very good too. 🥞😋
I really enjoyed their coffee (you can ask for refill without extra charge).
They have everything a customer could wish for. They even do Cocktails and more. 🍹🍸
I loved everything about Juniors.
I wish we had one where I live.

My partner and I had the pleasure of dining at Junior’s on Sunday, February 25th, at 7:30pm, and our experience was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly, and our server, Eric, provided exceptional service throughout our meal.

I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger, and my fiance opted for the grilled cheese. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic, and we savored every bite. One of the best burgers I’ve had here so far in New York for sure! As UK tourists, we always look forward to indulging in authentic American food, and Junior’s certainly delivered on that front.

However, we were a bit underwhelmed by the “fries” that accompanied our meals. They were more like what we would call “chips” back home – thick and chunky, reminiscent of those served at a budget pub. While we would have preferred the more traditional thin-cut American fries, this didn’t detract significantly from our overall enjoyment of the meal.

What truly stole the show were the desserts! Junior’s offers a wonderful selection of cakes and cheesecakes, and we couldn’t resist indulging. I opted for the chocolate fudge cake, while my fiance chose the classic cheesecake. Both desserts were absolutely incredible, with rich flavors and indulgent textures. In fact, we both agreed that Junior’s cheesecake was the best we’ve ever had, hands down.

Overall, our dining experience at Junior’s was a memorable one. We highly recommend Junior’s to anyone looking for a taste of authentic American cuisine and unforgettable desserts in the heart of New York City. We can’t wait to return and indulge in more of their mouthwatering offerings!

The atmosphere and service were great. Our waiter was very friendly and not overly attentive, which we appreciated. The music was very nice, not too loud.
Food: we only ordered dessert -three different kinds of cheesecake, and come fries. The fries were nothing to ride home about. We had to salt them and they were thick cut, mushy in the middle fries as to be expected from a diner.
The brownie cheesecake was very good. It was kind of crumbly, though. The carrot cake cheesecake was also good, but the combo ends up being pretty sweet and makes it hard to finish. The other cheesecake we tried was apparently their best seller, the strawberry cheesecake. This one had fresh strawberries with some sort of fruit pectin on top of the cheese cake. It ends up being a pretty good combo because the fresh strawberries balance out the sweetness of the cheesecake. I personally thought the crust wasn’t the best I’ve tried and they could do away with less fruit pectin. Overall though it was a good price for sitting down and having dessert as the pieces are very big!

From all the food ordered, I like the burger, french onion soup, and cheesecake the most. Burger pate was moist, and it’s real meat (not much fillers). It’s best to have the toppings on the side, especially the mushroom and caramelized onions. They will make burger soggy. It was huge and very filling, so it was good that I shared my dessert. The french onion soup was fully loaded and very flavourful with thick melted cheese on top. The cheesecake pie with strawberry topping was creamy and has a well-balanced flavor overall. Service was ok, nothing special. Got our seat pretty much instantly.
