What do La Renaissance Patisserie & Cafe visitors reviews this place?
FOOD. We celebrated my friend’s birthday with a cake from this delightful cafe in Waterloo. The cake, priced at around $45, was generously sized, perfect for 4-6 people. The cafe offers a wide range of cakes and pastries, providing ample choices for various preferences.
SERVICE. The service was smooth, with no issues to report. The staff was accommodating and friendly throughout our visit.
ATMOSPHERE. The place itself has a charming ambiance – a cute cafe that adds to the overall experience. It’s a lovely spot in Waterloo, making it a great choice for those looking to enjoy delicious cakes in a cozy setting.
While the service of this place is extraordinary and friendly, the portion sizing was a tad shocking that I feel people need a heads up.
Paying $96 for 24 berry tarts came with the expectation that they were a bit more sizeable – not tiny bite sized tarts. See picture with a standard spoon for sizing guide. Delicious nonetheless but wouldn’t pay this again.
Cold pastry, they refused to warm this up. What kind of establishment won’t heat up their croissants? Almost as cold as a fridge. Unpleasant texture and tastes cheap like supermarket croissant. Not worth the price
Love everything that i ordered. The croissant was yummy, sweet and rich, while the ice mocha also very great not too sweet the coffee flavour was strong with hint of chocolate like it supposed to 😁
And the salami/pastrami (cant differs this two 🙈) also delicious, big portion
The price itself is reasonable.

We have visited La Renaissance Patisserie many times at the Waterloo and the Rocks cafe. Pastries and cakes are amazing. Have not tried the pies yet. might give this a try next time.
The coffee is nice and flavorsome and they serve T2 tea in tea bags (would have preferred loose tea)
I especially love their croissants and almond croissants (but croissants are my weakness)
The Rocks cafe get pretty busy on weekends, especially Sundays so be prepared to wait, but service is quick. There is an outdoor courtyard at the back which is a nice place to sit.
The croissants are around $5-6 (which is the usual price for nice croissants these days)
Their cakes are reasonable for their quality i feel
