About this restaurants :
Came here for a quick pick me up dessert and tea during the week. We walked in around 6:15pm and were able to get seated right away as the place was at about 30% capacity. Loved the cute vibe and all of the dessert options!
Definitely a must try if you are around. I took a reservation to enjoy sitting outside surrounded by trees and eat some macaroons and black coffee. Great ambiance and very friendly service who provides detailed explanations on flavors.
Extortionate bottled water strategy aside, I feel sorry for the Parisian headquarters for a mediocre experience in New York. I initially thought leaving out the available tap water is a standard protocol from the restaurant and that they only serve bottled water as a health and safety precaution. If it was a fine dining atmosphere, I didn’t get the staff topping up my glass from the bottle from time to time nor did any one check up on my food if it was up to par with my taste. There was no dress code implemented.
It was a pretentious fine dining facade and an overrated hype hiding from the well-established French reputation. The extortionate water bill was the lowliest strategy for greed and they still require an 18% standard lowest tip value on the card machine. High-pitched staff introductions were unnecessary and forced and do not offer any form of relief for choosing to dine at the restaurant. The al fresco dining area also looked dry and uninspiring.
Overall, I do not recommend going back to this restaurant.
A lovely place for a special time out. The dining room is so cute, like an old French quarter. The service was top notch; our waiter took the time to walk us through the entire menu. They serve the whole menu all day. Food was divine. Make sure you save room for dessert or grab something to go!
The outside garden is really beautiful and so nice to be able to come to in the spring, especially April for the cherry blossoms. The French onion soup is great and the mocktails are so nice. My favorite dessert is definitely the ispahan
