About this restaurants :
They have very tasty coffee; The brand is Obediah, we drank ‘China’ which had strawberry essence in it. I would highly recommend that one.. Also, we had the ham sandwich it was perfect.. They bake the bread therefore it’s very fresh. Deserts were also delicious, I recommend chocolate rye. This is a local coffee shop whenever we are in Edinburgh. The only 2 bad sides of it are, First there is always a queue and secondly ask for an extra hot coffee because it is never too hot! But I am still going there everyday so it’s worth the wait!
First time going there and I had to get three different pastries.
I highly recommend the cinnamon bun- it’s an unusual and unique cinnamon bun. It’s flaky, and its got this delicious cream in the centre. Also had blood orange danish- it was goooood.
Its got cute vibe, breads were all very fresh, I’d say it’s one of the best pastry place to go in Edinburgh.

Enthralled by the hype surrounding this patisserie and intrigued by the lengthy queues, I couldn’t resist experiencing it for myself. As a pastry enthusiast, I was easily persuaded. During our initial visit on a midday Saturday, the absence of a queue was surprising, yet disappointment loomed as the shop had nearly sold out. Left with only a couple of lemon drizzle cake slices and croissant loafs. Yes, you read that right. A loaf of bread made from 8 croissants!! My choice was clear. The staff’s warmth and helpfulness, offering storage tips and culinary suggestions, elevated the experience. With a complimentary lemon drizzle in hand, we departed, eager to return. The lemon drizzle proved extraordinary, boasting moistness and balanced lemon flavor, earning it a place among the best I’ve ever had. Our attempt to use the croissant loaf as burger buns fell short, but a simple pairing with butter redeemed it. Eager for a more comprehensive review, I seized the opportunity to revisit during a subsequent trip to the area for a haircut. Despite a daunting queue, observing the bustling kitchen and inhaling the tantalizing aromas kept my anticipation high. Deciding to sample a variety of treats, I left with an array of delights, though the decision-making process was challenging. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the staff remained friendly and engaging, contributing to a surprisingly relaxed ambiance. Though the expenditure was significant, the quality warranted it, with each item proving delectable. From the standout sausage roll to the divine custard slice and irresistible pastries, every bite was a delight. Lannan Bakery’s offerings, while pricey, undoubtedly stand as the pinnacle of Edinburgh’s bakery scene in my experience. I eagerly anticipate my next visit, regardless of queues, to savor their culinary delights once more. Bravo, Lannan Bakery, bravo!
One of my most anticipated bakery openings in recent memory, and a big reason why I was desperately wanting to come back to Edinburgh. Everything from the interior to the choice of stock, coffee and range of pastries feels so considered. The Sausage Roll and Coffee and White Chocolate Pain Suisse were absolutely incredible.
The pastry is really good!
Highly recommend the pain au Suisse and the Croissant. Everything crispy is really delicious😋 so pick based on your personal preference. BUT THEY WILL BE SOLD OUT AFTER 10 am on weekends.

Their pizza and savoury bread is also worth trying.
But the cake is just okay, I have got the custard slice and the carrot cake before, which is not so worthy the price🧐 I think.
Also, the price is higher than other bakery in ED and there is always a queue🙁
