Le Pain Quotidien

I’m a fan of French eateries. This is a good spot for breakfast, brunch, lunch. The food is simple but done well…breads, pastries, soups, sandwiches, salads.
The ambience is delightful, like being transported to a cafe in France or Belgium.
Service can be a bit slow, & the food is pricey. I ordered the following for lunch:
-Smoked Salmon Tartine$17.00
-Belgian Hot Chocolate $5.25
With Tax$2.22 & Tip$4.00, the Total bill was $28.47.
I’ve eaten here a few times, but since it’s pricey I go only as an occasional treat.

This place is outstanding. Wonderful service. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. My bacon was perfect. My smoked salmon tartine is something I’ll dream about sometimes. The coffee is perfect.

I also tried some of the salad with pesto vinaigrette and it was excellent. I also tried some of the turkey from my daughter’s plate and it was very fresh (I just don’t love cold turkey).

I already said I want to come back next time I’m in. What a great restaurant.

The average per person depends what time of the day your coming and if your dining in or out. We only got a pastry each with drinks. In would say it was like $10-$15 per person. I see they have a brunch. I would definitely would like to try that another time.

This time we came in by accident. We were walking back for the parking garage and it was so cold our faces were about to fall off. We saw this place and we thought we’d get a warm drink. We saw the good looking pastries and upon getting home we rated them- so delicious. The coffee and hot chocolate we got were soo good!

We parked on the parking garage under the Ford theatre.

A convenient place to stop off for a late lunch on the way to the Metro. The Quiche Lorraine ($14) and Homemade Lemonade ($4) were very good. Very nice and friendly staff.
