The cashier was so nice. I brought a Crossaint filled with Bavarian creme for $1.99. So I handed the cashier $2.00. Then she said it was $2 with tax. I was fumbling for change in my purse. The cashier said it’s OK. Then handed me the bag. This small gesture showed me that she has good character. The crossaint was delicious.

I went to buy bread and for some reason the display cases where the bread is were open, now I understand why the next day the bread was very hard as stone.

This tiny bakery smells like heaven! Pound cake here is a classic and must have. I had very high expectations on their tres leches – turns out it’s very dry (pretty disappointing). I hope that was one-off day
