What do Pioik Bakery Pyrmont visitors reviews this place?
I always want to try this bakery at Pyrmont and it’s always so busy too. Never have the right time to visit and this time I have the pleasure to visit. I was in the mood for something simple and sugary too, so I chose the Twist pastry. It was filled with cinnamon sugar and turmeric too, which sounds weird but was so good. The pastry was buttery, full of flavour and crunchy too. I will definitely be back to try others.
In the morning, I passed by the street accidentally. The bakery’s smell intrigued me to buy it. I purchased the burn, it’s nice to have brunch and go get the munchies.
I love the focaccia here and I don’t normally like focaccia. They always come in different flavours. The pastries are good too but when we bought it around 10am, it’s already lacking the crunch.
There’s no place to sit here so you normally line up and order for takeaway. For 4 items, it cost around $44.
The pastry is nice specifically the almond croissant, but the chocolate croissant was a bit dry and the twist was too spiced with turmeric and heavy. The guy at the counter was not friendly to us in comparison with how he treated the previous customer.
Great food. Not great service. Visited twice and service on both occasions felt self entitled by the thin, black hair and short lady. Baked goods are good though so if you disregard the service, its fine to come back. I had lime croissant$12.5, chocolate almond croissant $9.5 and custard tart (this one was good!) $7.5
