Outstanding quality
We had vanilla slice which was the best we’ve had and we took away two Tassie scallop pies to heat up for dinner. They were outstanding with the flakiest pastry and generous filling with a sauce full of flavour and not masked by the ubiquitous milky curry sauce, could taste the full scallop flavour with every bite
Congratulations, this kind of quality only comes through years of work and dedication to a craft

Nice coffee and we had a sausage roll and asparagus with cheese quiche. The quiche had been over cooked so the pastry was very hard to cut. Taste was ok but nothing special. The place was very busy as usual with most customers trying the vanilla slice which looked way too soft to me!
Tried the famous Vanilla slice. Great flavour, pastry was to hard and brittle for my liking, had to eat with a spoon as the filling was super soft. 7/10 didn’t reach the hype, unfortunately but still very nice. ( I like to be able to eat with your hands and not possibly with this one)
The yummiest French Vanilla slice EVER. So many old fashioned receipes. Great selection definitely something for everyone. The town is very cute as well making it the perfect stop on the way to Launceston
My husband enjoyed his curry scallop pie , plenty of flavour and plenty of scallops . I also enjoyed a chunky beef pie, a loaf of freshly baked sourdough, just out of the oven . I’ve just eaten half of my vanilla slice and wow it was good . Not too sweet and I loved that it had icing sugar , not icing on the top .
