Sofra Bakery & Cafe

I was recommended to come to Sofra. It’s a cute very small cozy place, super busy. Not a lot of seating space. Lots of dessert options and side dishes. I usually love breakfast meals and I couldn’t wait to try a new place. I was impressed but not pleased, it was not for me (personally).
I tried the Turkish breakfast and Cilbir dish, the portions were small, unique taste. Had to wait for seating, my food was delivered to the area we found, then passed through the crowd to get my utensils since we’re not given to us. Was not expecting or not used to this type of service. Dessert was good. It’s not a halal place.

Sofra Bakery & Cafe never ceases to impress with its delectable array of dishes, a primary reason my visits have become a delightful routine. The culinary finesse here is evident in every bite, marrying both taste and visual appeal in a way that’s genuinely captivating. Their unique fusion of flavors and the sheer artistry in presentation make each meal not just a dining experience but a feast for the senses.

However, it’s important to note a few areas that need improvement. The quaint size of the restaurant often leads to longer wait times, especially during peak hours. While the cozy ambiance is charming, it does sometimes impact the overall experience. Moreover, the service can be hit-or-miss. Instances of receiving the wrong order or finding out that desired menu items are no longer available have been minor setbacks in what would otherwise be a flawless experience.

In summary, Sofra Bakery & Cafe is a gem for those who appreciate culinary artistry, but be prepared for a bit of a wait and some service hiccups. Despite these issues, the exceptional quality of the food makes it a place I keep returning to, eager for the next delightful dish they serve. Four stars.

A really special Middle Eastern cafe spot with tons of wonderful flavors to discover!

Came here for breakfast and left with some dishes to go! There are a lot of great both sweet and savory options to dine-in or have to go!

Tried two sandwiches, two to-go dishes, a beet tzatziki (to die for!), spicy labneh (best I’ve ever had!), and muhammara (very nutty and sweet) as well as the Turkish tea. Everything tasted very fresh and hit the sweet spot in terms of flavor.

The prices are a little steep, but in my opinion it is worth it!

If you are planning to dine in, be ready to wait in line as the place is really small and does fill up super quickly.

The portions (and space) are tiny, but everything is very good! We really enjoyed ourselves here. The pastries are amazing and the Turkish tea served authentically just like in Turkey. Especially the bittersweet chocolate tahini tart.

It’s fine at best. All the items are very pretty and well made but the taste of their pastries and dishes just aren’t that good. People clamor for this place as they probably haven’t had foods like this so for first comers it’s probably great, but if you grew up eating this type of cuisine you’ll leave extremely disappointed.
