About this restaurants :
I’ve been coming here since the shop opened, and although I am convinced the doughnuts weren’t what they used to be, they are still amongst the best offered in town.
The doughnut filling is the crème of the crop. It is rich and smooth, almost ice cream like. A bite into it is an indulgence to your senses. However, I find the dough to be somewhat inconsistent, sometimes it is soft, tangy and brioche-y, while sometimes it just tastes less fresh with a drier texture.
In any case, I had way more enjoyable moments than not-so-enjoyable ones, so I’ll still continue to go back!
The donuts here are I think have to be best I have ever had. It’s definitely a place I would make a pilgrimage too. Weathers important though because it’s a take away bakery
This doughnut was an indulgent delight. Having heard of the connection to the much loved Bread Ahead, I decided to give it a try. It’s a small shop, with a single bench outside. I went inside and perused the selection of doughnuts, and picked the chocolate from the three I saw that day. The airy and fluffy texture brought a lightness to each bite, while the subtle tang in the dough with the perfect combination of the rich chocolate sauce, created a decadent experience that left me thoroughly satisfied. Without a doubt, this is the best doughnut I’ve ever tried. If you appreciate a doughnut that combines lightness, tanginess, and a rich chocolate kick, this one is a must-try.
Just bear in mind it’s a grab and go snack.
The best donuts. Good cappuccino. Very neat experience in this back alley. Highly recommend.
Chocolate croissant 👌 pain au chocolat.
Jussst enough bitter chocolate, solid bars, like how it should be done!
The pastry is buttery and enormous, on the heavier side. £3.
