What do Standard Baking Co visitors reviews this place?
You can’t beat local freshly baked breads and pastries. Delicious, charming and adds a nice touch to your morning in Portland old town.
Everyone is taking a postcard worthy pictures when they step in the store.
You need to wait in line as the store is tiny. But the service is efficient and on point. So It’s not bad at all.
Oh the coffee is good too!
If you want bread or pasties baked by bakers who care, this is the bakery. They truly have artisan bread. If you are critical about their products, then you simply don’t understand how hard it is to bake at this level and to have this quality.
So ignore the negative and appreciate how hard it is to make bread this well by hand.
I would say this is bakery, which is at the same level as La brea Bakery . It’s worth stop.
Wow! We wish we can have their bread near my city. We bought quite a few varieties. All of them are delicious!
For those who think standart baking are overrated, well, either you’re standart are too high or something is wrong with your taste bud. Their pastries are absolutely divine. Super buttery, crunchy and you can tell that they’re using fresh and high quality ingredients. Plus their price point are not bad, like with a dollar or two differences to a chain coffeshop’s pastries, you got yourself a world class pastries. Worth every penny
Highly recommend anything from the menu, though I tried maybe 5-6 items in two visits during a quick weekend trip. The almond croissant is especially delicious, hence the four in the review pic.
