They offer delicious home-baked pastries, stunning cakes, tray bakes, truffles, sweet and savory scones, epic brownies, soups of the day, and sandwiches, along with great locally roasted coffee. The selection varies daily based on demand and season. Since I couldn’t try everything in one go, I chose a coconut scone and a biscoff cake, accompanied by a hot chai latte. It satisfied my breakfast cravings, but additional savory options would have been awesome too.

Delicious sweet and savoury treats? All day long! Warm, inviting cafe space with way more room than you’d expect? It’s like a hidden oasis! Staff that make you feel like a regular, even on your first visit? Absolutely their superpower! This place is what Edinburgh’s food scene is all about.

I love how Tasty Buns is unpretentious. It’s all about the food, the friendly vibe, and giving you that boost you need in the middle of a busy day. The cakes and baked goodies are the obvious stars, but don’t sleep on their coffee – pairs perfectly with a brownie or one of those giant cookies.
Big respect to the staff. Baking ain’t easy, especially right now, but they always have a smile on their faces.

I’ve been a customer when Tasty Buns has had a pop-up at a local event, I’ve been a bespoke/online order customer, and I’ve been the store. Never had a bad experience; always had good food.

Special note: If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this place is dangerous. If you like supporting local businesses, it’s mandatory. If you need a spot to catch your breath during the Edinburgh madness, look no further! Tasty Buns delivers on all fronts, and those buns…well, the name doesn’t lie. Get in there and taste for yourself!

We wanted something sweet and were immedately drawn by cuteness of the shop. The staff were really nice and the pastries even nicer! 10/10 would recommend!
We had a banoffee cake and a chocolate rocky road.

I tried every cinnamon bun in Edinburgh and can confirm the very best are right here at Tasty Buns. Generally available on a Saturday morning, or do like me and order a whole tray on the day of your choosing. 🙊

We nipped in here for a quick bite. Good selection of sweet treats. We couldn’t choose 2 so we picked 4. We opted for the crunchie brownie, white chocolate and twix slice, a vanilla oattie and a ginger and biscoff loaf slice. All of them were absolutely delicious. My favourite was probably the ginger and biscoff load which was so moist and flavours complemented themselves dry well. Close 2nd was the oattie which was quite hard on the outside but very soft on the inside. The other 2 were not far behind but also very tasty. I also got a hot chocolate which was very nice and not too sweet. Staff were welcoming and we thought it was fairly priced. I love how everything is home made and they often change their menu. For that reason, I will be back to try something else next time.

I have since been back again and can still confirm this place is still the dugs baws! Great variety of sweet treats and everyone I’ve had is awesome!! Staff are also super friendly.
