This is a bakery not a hotel. Lovely family space with amazing home made goods. Coffee is the best time town. Not cheap but totally worth the indulgence once in a while. Staff are always friendly and energetic. Highly recommend.
The Pie Plate is a wonderful family business. The baking is to die for and the coffee is locally roasted and delicious. If in season, get the grape pie; it’s not what you’d expect! There are local wines and various non-baked treats available too. Make sure to check out the ready to take-home-and-heat meal and dessert options as well. The staff are friendly and will chat and are very knowledgable about the area. This has become my favourite cafe in Niagara.
We first came here and had the banana cream pie 2 years ago, we devoured it before we even left the parking lot after saying “just one taste before going home”. This should tell you how good it is. This year, we came back and got a rhubarb baked good, as well as another banana cream pie. Extremely tasty both of them, can’t wait to come back
The Pie Plate is a local gem! It’s so cute (and clean) inside and the service was excellent. The food is amazing. I definitely recommend the Morning Bun and Focaccia Pizza. The fruit and savoury pies look delicious. We got one to go and I’m excited to try it later. Definitely recommend stopping here when in NOTL!
Visited the pie plate as I’m visiting from Vancouver island and my father works with a relative of the people who own/run the place. Had a couple grape tarts and a latte, and they were both excellent.
