About this restaurants :
I’ll never buy another loaf of this bread. Prairie Grain bread, up until the beginning of this year (2021) was made with 100% stone ground whole wheat and tasted wonderful. My sister in Denver even had it shipped to her home. I gave it as gifts to friends and neighbors for Christmas.
Then Prairie Grain Bread Co. was bought out by the BIG GUYS and the replacement product is nothing short of horrible. The high price is the same but the quality is zilch.

Franz Bakery/United States Bakery purchased my local Prairie Grain Bread Co and the product is now junk. The ingredients used to be at most 5, 100% whole wheat, yeast, salt & sugar or honey. Now it’s “enriched wheat flour”, full of preservatives and is tasteless junk. And yet their prices went up as if it’s still a great product. So disappointing when these big companies purchase smaller, local companies and turn their products into junk!
GOD BLESS AMERICA. Can’t say anymore…..the star is what it is…..if I had freedom of speech in America still, I would tell you all the truth about how this old establishment really operates….been in business for over a hundred years….lot of stories to be told I’m sure of that.
They definitely need to value their employees better than they currently do. Word of mouth between families and friends weighs heavily in a small town, enough to buy from the competitor. We shall see what happens.
Nice👍
