best steak, bacon & cheese pie I’ve ever eaten. 😍 perfect flaky pastry and absolutely delicious. coffee was good too.
not worth getting the filled donuts tho, a bit flavorless and chewy…stick to the pies.

Huge range, clean store and great food. Massive amount of fillings in both the hot food and cold rolls/sandwiches. Don’t come to Woodend often but will definitely stop in here again.

The best steak and cheese I’ve had all year needed it before I go back to Melbourne.

We are lucky that this bakery is not too far from us. The people are lovely and will slice the bread (lovely fresh white loaves) or get a pie from out the back if there’s none in the warmer. I know lots of truckers order ahead to pick up as they pass through Woodend so you frequently see big trucks on the side of the road. The pies are incredible. They are filled to the top of the base and the ingredients are well cooked and flavourful. My favourites are the steak, mushroom and bacon pie, the chicken, steak and blue cheese, and.. well, I’ve never had a dud. They do savouries, sausages with potato on them, and much more in the hot cabinet. In the cool cabinet is a huge range of sandwiches. I love the chicken, cranberry and brie but, again, all great. But wait, there’s more! Then you get to the sweets cabinet. Every slice you can imagine, biscuits, and sweet pastries. I love the apple turnovers with cream but they go fast. So, stop on your way north or south, or make it a destination. Grab yourself some lunch from there and go to Woodend or Pegasus beach and have a picnic without having to make it. A tiny inconspicuous shop with a huge range.

This place is extremely popular and has a huge selection of food. Great pies and the staff are friendly and efficient. Never been disappointed with anything bought here.
