Working Culture Bread

We tried the double baked croissant, savoury danish, cheese pretzel and peanut butter cake. All of them are surprisingly good. The bread texture is amazing. Highly recommend the cheese pretzel and the croissant. We were in Victoria for 1 day but we came back twice.

We came on a Saturday morning at around 9:30AM and the place was absolutely packed. There was a small line waiting to order but there were lots of people waiting inside for coffee and breakfast sandwiches.

We ordered the cinnamon bun, asparagus brie grainy mustard bundle and cheese pretzel. We started with the cheese pretzel and omg, it definitely became a must get. The cheese is super savoury and addicting. The pretzel itself was chewy and had a great charr to it. Pretzel is a must get

The asparagus brie grainy mustard bundle was very creative. It had mustard seed in it which gave it a nice tang. The only fault on this pastry was the that because there was so much filling the bottom got A TAD soggy and could have been crisper. The pastry itself on the sides was nice and flaky. The brie gave it that extra luciousness. This is I believe a seasonal item and for the steep price it seems like a bit much but if you like brie mustard and asparagus you will love this

The cinnamon bun was most likely my least favorite of the three. Their cinnamon bun was fluffy and had a lot of cinnamon flavour which I loved. But it was a bit too sweet for me. They seem to prefer their cinnamon buns with more liquidy caramelized sugar I guess in place of any need for frosting but as a personal preference I kind of like crispy topped cinnamon buns. This is not it if that’s what you are looking for

Overall I want to keep this as a hidden gem in my books as their goods are so delicious and I don’t want more competition when buying their goods. They sell out before the end of the day so make sure to check their Instagram. Their baked goods are definitely on the pricier side but for the quality of the goods I don’t mind paying a bit extra.

The olive loaf was one of the best we have ever had, definitely a must try for olive lovers! Great crust, soft and chewy middle with an abundance of savoury olives, yum!

This is my favourite business in Victoria of any sort. I go here at least once a week, usually twice per week, and have since their second day of operation. I spend ~5-6% of my weekly income here, and you should too! Great bakery run by lovely people, with top notch staff (who handle the busy rushes so professionally). Everything they make is of the highest quality. They always have bread, sweet and savoury treats, sandwiches, and coffee. Occasionally they do special offerings like pizza night or grilled cheese for lunch. I recommend following them on instagram to see what’s on special. Go early if possible because they do sell out fairly regularly.

Incredible bread, incredible treats, incredible staff. We come here every week!! The rotating savoury danish and chocolate hazelnut croissants are our favorites + the city loaf. When it’s available, I always pick up the chocolate sourdough loaf. SO GOOD.
