What do Agora visitors say about this place?
Very cute ambience, well decorated with 2 floors of seating.
Parking was difficult when we went, there was nowhere to sit and the wait was very long to order. The ladies were not very welcoming. We asked about the Greek frappe before ordering and got a very vague answer, the coffee was instant powder with water and not did not taste good. When we asked for something else or to have some milk to at least make it taste better, we were told that it’s supposed to taste watery 😕 neither lady wanted to help us with getting something we would enjoy.

It was a very cute shop, but we left very disappointed in the service and quality and would not return.
We went to the cafe at around noon on a Sunday. It was almost packed, but we were able to find a nice table on the second floor. The cafe blends perfectly with the artistic, vivid and young atmosphere of Montrose.
I ordered a latte and it was great. I love the ambience with all the paintings on the wall, and the nice match of colors of all the decorations. On the second floor, you got a nice view of the street, and you could chat there without much distraction. The staffs are friendly. They also have a wide variety of baked food. I would love to go again.
Really cute place to get work done, drink coffee, socialize, & enjoy the sun(on the patio). Big variety of pastries, light bites, coffee, tea, & cocktails. Will be coming back and bringing all my friends to cowork!
Great cafe for studying, working or a social meet up. Fresh coffee, pastries and the Greek decor all add a rustic charm to this place. I’ll definitely go back to the laid back cafe.
An institution within the Houston coffee scene, Agora has been serving delicious drinks for over 20 years. In the heart of Montrose, this coffee shop is a mix of kitschy, eclectic, and cozy place. The almost tucked away exterior belies the exquisite interior which is decorated with local and Greek items. The interior sitting area is also interesting as the second floor is an all around balcony overlooking the first floor. In addition to yummy pastries, and espresso drinks, the place serves nitro brews, local craft brews, and wine. A great place to connect with friends, study, or just get a good cup of coffee.
