Bad Habits Coffee

Lovely quaint coffee shop/roaster tucked away in the city of Naas. Immediately after walking in the barista & roaster were welcoming and it was very cool to see them actively roasting up some coffee in their beautiful orange Deidrich. I love their design choice of putting the roaster front-and-center so the guests have an up close and personal look into the roasting process; it’s really unique and conveys that they take pride in their craft.

Their coffee quality also shows this in their execution of great flat whites and intentionally dialed in espresso shots. The only “negative” I could think of was a lack of indoor seating so if it’s very cold out you’d have to find somewhere else to have it in or quickly drink and go, but I wouldn’t dock points off of the review for that because this truly is the best coffee you’ll get in the city.

This place is a hidden gem, real passion and imagination goes into menu items and it’s updated regularly. The coffee is consistently really good, never burnt and always at the right temperature. The pastries are always really fresh and the staff are always really friendly and accommodating toward dietary preferences and requirements. They do incredible hot chocolate, it’s totally worth taking a mild detour into the town to get a coffee here

Lovely place where they roast themselves the beans, coffee is great! However, I find the cakes(brownies, cupcakes) extremely sweet. I thought I might had a bad batch, I tried them a month later, same problem. I do sense an unpleasant sweet burnt oven aroma when I pass by, I suppose when they’re baking 🙁

Incredible coffee and pastries and such a versatile menu that is regularly updated. Friendly and accommodating staff add to the overall amazing experience. I’ve come to realise that I’ve never known good coffee before trying bad habits coffee 🙂
