About this restaurants :
Best drip coffee and beans on the strip. Especially good with yirgacheffe blend Family owned and friendly. The locally made sambusas are excellent.
Not skilled at cortados, flat whites or other specialties; though. The baked goods could be better
Super friendly staff and offered a discount on a delicious pastry when we bought a couple coffees. Delicious, smooth brews here, and it was hard to not load up on more pastries as we left. Highly recommend and grab some beans while you’re here.
The best coffee in D.C., and I say that as as a long time Washingtonian and coffee lover who has visited and enjoyed many of the District’s fine cafes. The coffee is superb, the cafe is cozy, and the staff are kind and attentive. They roast their own coffee from Ethiopian varietal beans and it is fantastic. I think the Harrar (dark roast) is the single best coffee variety I’ve ever had. I always buy my coffee beans here. Also, the spicy lentil sambusas are excellent.
Fantastic coffee. I got a medium cold brew and it’s up there with the best quality coffee that I’ve had, not only in DC but anywhere. Strong, flavorful, yet also smooth. Pretty large cup too for a medium which is nice. Not usually over in this part of the city but will definitely stop in when I am. Cheese Danish was decent as well.
Stepped in at just the right time to catch the action, as the shop roasts their own beans, and saw them being poured out of the machine! My wife got her double espresso, and I choose the latte. They serve larger cups then most coffee shops, which made me happy . The shop is quaint and beautifully adorned. Giving off a very chill vibe I would have sat and enjoyed my drink looking out the window.
