What do HotBlack Coffee visitors reviews this place?
Really good coffee and pastries. They have a big wine selection too. The staff are very friendly. The only negative is that the place is quite small (only 3 bar stools) and not the nicest of atmospheres with the hair salon in the back. It’s a bit hard to find the place too. Overall it’s definitely a nice option for coffee on the go.
A tiny outpost of HotBlack coffee located adjacent to a hotel. There is a barbershop connected to the cafe too. The coffee is good and their egg and toast is pretty unique and popular. But HotBlack doesn’t have oat milk or many other alternatives to dairy. So that might be an issue, as most cafes in Toronto keep the usual alternatives. We were a bit surprised. The staff is friendly and warm.
Exceptional cappuccinos. A little surprising even. The place is pretty well hidden with a tiny walkway to a side-storefront with a barber shop in the back. The vibe is amazing, with a full wine wall and a nice edgy ambience that plays to the coffee’s quality. There are also small snacks to be had such as walnut squares and date squares. Really good stuff.
Yep..their coffee is strong, black and hot — just the way I love my coffee. Great spot to just grab and go or stay for a bit. Also a really great selection of teas and baked goods to nosh on if you’ve already had your coffee already. I’ve been a fan of Hot Black Coffee up at the Davisville location, and glad they are opening up here too.
Very good cafe! Their flat white and vanilla capuccinos are perfectly made, with the right texture and taste. The only thing I’d improve is consistency, as the three people who prepared our drinks on the three days we went had quite an influence on the final result.
