Worth the Wait – if you can time your arrival you won’t be standing on the stairs waiting. But even if you are it’s worth waiting. They turn over tables quite quickly and the view and food are well worth a few extra minutes. Lots of healthy options, vegan, vegetarian and gluten free too. Lots of great choices in the cabinet too but only get those if you plan to take away. If you are staying go by the menu. Fun, surfer vibe for decor which makes sense given the location. When the place is full, which is often, the talking noise level can sometimes make it harder to carry a conversation. Roof top patio can be cool with the wind. Maranui Cafe is such a delightful find in Lyall Bay, plus it is just 10 minutes from the airport! This cafe offers breathtaking water views and a vibe that is hard to beat! True gem! Food and drinks are fantastic, clearly a hit given the constant buzz of happy customers. This cafe is a must visit, I will definitely revisit and recommend! ❤️❤️

The cabinet salads are INCREDIBLE. Came back twice to try the different offerings! The views and decor are adorable as well. The staff are friendly – Gave me a free postcard on my way out!

Food is great. Coffee is great. I used to work here as a 10 year old about 15 years ago and hasn’t changed a bit which is awesome. Toast was well done and not soggy. I ordered scrambled eggs and they were done very well. Would have liked a little less hollandaise sauce as I ordered scrambled but overall nice. Quite expensive for what it is.

Loved the vibe…very sonorous with eager conversations ❤️ and children’s laughter. Thanks to LUCY for the friendly welcome and service. We also liked the pics on the walls and doors. Colorful and musical. Have posted some for all to judge for themselves. Oh yeah chow and caffeine was sophisticated too.
