What do Market visitors reviews this place?
I had the turkey sandwich 🥪 for lunch. It was okay. Pricey for what it was. The lemon bar however is great! It’s $4.00 and worth it. Highly recommend it. The staff are very friendly here!! It’s also very clean, and the service is fast. They are a busy little place.
I visited the market today while in the Hyatt Regency hotel lobby, very nice and clean. Like most in-hotel coffee shops and stores, it is rather expensive, in particular the gift shop items and bagged snacks. However, the drinks and pastries were reasonably priced. I got the breakfast loaf and it was extremely tasty though quite sweet, a good mixture of banana bread and chocolate swirl. Great experience overall.
Interesting stop inside of a hotel. They have Oregon-themed souvenirs and a small coffee and pastry menu. I stopped to get some coffee. Even though it was busy, my 2 drinks were done in under 5 minutes.
I got an oatmilk cappuccino, and it was kind of daunting seeing the barista dump the milk inside of the drink so fast without an even pour (incorporating the espresso). The texture was a bit too dry for what I prefer, but hey, it’s a hotel coffee shop. It’s good for what it is.
Expensive, and not just Portland expensive. $4 for a cold bagel with a small packet of cream cheese, and 5 for a bottle of water. Staff was more interested in just getting things done, than getting them done correctly, and had no interest in even toasting my bagel. I will not be coming back to the Market, even though the Hyatt was great.
First overnight visit to Portland. Stayed at the Hyatt. Visited the Market prior to attending an event. Told the barista (Rylee) that I’d be back for hot tea before 11pm which was closing time. I walked in at 10:35pm and she smiled at me and held up the teabags. Despite all of the customers, she remembered! Way to go Rylee!
Though some of the items can be viewed as pricey, remember that this is a hotel. The service staff is wonderful!
Highly recommend!!
