About this restaurants :
The Congregation has excellent coffee and delicious soups. The atmosphere is some of the coolest I’ve seen for any coffee shop. I stayed here for a few hours to get some studying done and absolutely loved it. I got the soup of the day and a regular hot coffee with oat milk. It was delicious! The only thing I’d say to be cautious about is that there is a 2 hour limit for WiFi services. I think they do this to allow more customers to come inside and enjoy the scenery. Other than that, it was a great experience. Will definitely come back to this place many more times!
One of the coolest coffee shops I have ever been to! Delicious coffee with a very unique atmosphere. Plenty of seating and would be a perfect place to post up and get some work done. They had run out of bagels when we were there which was a bummer. They also didn’t have avocado toast as was previously posted on here.
Wonderful atmosphere and vibe. Very low marks due to the server pulling and playing with his hair at the front counter. Definitely deterred us from purchasing food items! Yuck! I politely told him that his constant hair rubbing/pulling was NOT appropriate in a food/consumable environment, his response “Good to know” 😳
We notified the manager, who stated he would address it. I wasn’t confident he would. The cocktails were created at a different station (different person) so we moved forward with the purchase. Overall, cool spot, cool vibe, good drinks, DO NOT EAT there! The servers are nasty!

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Cool vibe, artisanal foods and just the most amazing coffee I’ve ever had. The orange spiced espresso tonic is maybe the best coffee drink I’ve ever had. And Conor loved the sarsaparilla shakerato, like a root beer coffee, he says. Every choice here is calculated, planned and well thought out. The ambiance is perfect, some unexpected balance between cozy coffee shop and happy hour spot. I love coming here, so happy this place exists in Detroit.
The vibes: immaculate. The coffee: divine! This is a great place to chill and get some breakfast before devoting time downtown. You’ll worship their house coffee and pray that they still have some donuts left! Sit and reflect in the pews while indulging in the gorgeous views. Great spot!
