The Usual

Beautifully kept cafe! Good coffee, tasty food, beautiful modern ambiance and good service! Tried Syrniki for the first time and it was delicious but very sweet. Avocado toast was crisp and flavorful. Mocha was up to Seattle’s standard. Will be back soon to try more of the menu!

I was in Seattle in the beginning of October and my airbnb was in the same building of this super cute coffee place. Warm atmosphere, super kind staff, very good coffee and croissants, amazing vibes. The place is in a nice location on Yesler St, and I spent some time there working on my pictures and relaxing a bit enjoying their good coffee and the almond croissant. Totally recommend if you are around!

The Usual is a Ukrainian coffee shop tucked away in the SODO area of downtown Seattle. The menu is small but has a delicious selection of baked good, cafe food, and coffee/tea options.

We got the Ukrainian chicken dumplings and a croissant with havarti and turkey. They were delicious. We also got chai and a vanilla latte – both were also very good.

The interior features black/white graphic tiles on the floor and walls, as well as walnut paneling and bar counters. It’s definitely got a nice aesthetic vibe.

Definitely recommend visiting this cute cafe!

Note: There is no parking lot, so you will have to find street parking which can be a challenge anywhere in Seattle…

The Usual is a modern, yet cozy coffee shop. I enjoy the pastries and cirniki. The high ceilings make it feel bigger than it is. The coffees are good and I enjoyed the seasonal special. Seating can be limited during busy times, so try to visit during off-peak hours. The shop also sells tote bags, shirts, mugs, and other branded apparel.

Beautiful design. Unique set up for a smaller space. Prices are higher than usual, but the quality of coffee is well worth it. I’ll be returning often. Many food options as well. Friendly, professional service.
