Bay Boats

Ordered a dinner for 2, with an extra serving of Calamari. Ordered via the phone for pickup and takeaway. The lady read back my order. I was informed the total price for my order was $35.90. The dinner for 2 was $24.90, stated on their website, and a serving of calamari $4.95. I was overcharged and once I brought up the pricing, I was told the website was incorrect. Once I got home, I unwrapped my food and I was provided was only 1 serving of calamari ( 4 pieces when I ordered 8). Not happy with the service and the quality of the food. Will not be returning.

What’s so good about Bay Boats?

I love the nostalgic feel. It’s in a perfect location. Windows that open out and great ledges/ counters/bars to entice diners to eat inside or outside.

It reminds me of corner stores from the 1960s. But it’s right up to date with menu, drinks, and service.

Usually we eat here, sitting outside and soaking up the views (Scarborough boat harbour) and urban street views.

This time, we ordered takeaway for 4 people. Great service. Delish food ( fish n chips/ burgers/ drinks) and it was ready right on time.

Only got drink & Crab Stick … WOW talk about walk back in time Awesome in their bring back memories 💞💞 Even had Old Spacey Game u can play I loved playing 🎮 💯💞🤪

Hubby and I had lunch opposite here today for the 1st time. The small serve for 1 – 2 people is huge. Homemade potato scallops are good and not greasy. Hubby enjoyed his battered flake while I had the vegetarian burger which was nice.

Decided to grab some lunch over the weekend and many of the fish and chip shops along the Main Street in Scarborough had huge wait times.I gave Bay Boats a ring and they had my order ready in 20 minutes. I ordered a family pack which came with 2 Cod, 2 Whiting, 4 Fish Bites and 4 Calamari rings and a very generous serve of chips. The whiting fillets were small but it is whiting after all. Everything was well cooked and the batter was not too heavy nor oily. For the four of us, it was a good feed for lunch and under $50.
