Federal Delicatessen

Loved my Toasted Reuben, with its side salad and pickles. It was just the right amount of serving. Hot chocolate was our top fave during the visit. Griddle cakes was something out of the ordinary definitely a must try! We find the salmon bagel not satisfying enough due to the small portion.

So good we went back the next day. Its a small menu but it’s very tasty and filling food. Over the two days we had the Reuben sandwich, chicken sandwich, hot dog with side of chips, griddle cakes, cinnamon roll and morning glory. Each plate was ready quickly and tasted fantastic. The griddle cakes OMG! Definitely worth waiting the few minutes to get a table.

We had dinner on valentine’s day. It was very crowded as expected and we had to wait to be seated. We could order food via qr code and also made payment, which was convenient. We ordered steak, fish and schnitzel. The steak was amazing.

I had a great lunch at Federal Delicatessen! The ambiance is great, with lively music and an open kitchen so you can see all the action. The food was delicious.

Top pick: the poutine (one of the best I’ve had outside of Quebec).

Where to sit: at the counter if you want to in on the kitchen action, at the back if you’re a group.

Have been there twice for lunch. Pickled pork tastes fantastic and special! With a crispy crust and tender texture of pork. Hot dog is very delicious! And very sizable, can shared with two if eat other dishes. Tuna Melt is good! Very dishes are good! The staff are warm and hospitable to guests. The cheese cake was sold out and he saw my disappointment. And several minutes later came back to tell me that chef is making a new one. Very sweet! They have brunch menu and dinner menu. Will come back to try dinner. Love the place. ❤️
