What do Indian King Biryani House visitors reviews this place?
small food cart parked in FiDi blending flavors from India and the Middle East into a small variety of rice platters, sandwiches, and savory eats. open from lunchtime to late evening most days–there’s typically a small line that moves quickly as lunchtime draws the worker crowd / evenings pull a more tourist crowd. ordered a Chicken Tikka over rice while it will not be what you’d get in a sit-down Indian restaurant…it‘s still good but was more a fusion of flavors in a halal cart style…my order did its job–flavorful, satisfying, and filling. the serving of chicken and rice is ample; there’s a tiny salad on the side, and you can top your food with a tangy white sauce as well as hot sauce. service is relatively fast and friendly. and Zuccotti Park is right across the street if you want that al fresco experience without table service!
Visited this truck on a very cold day and had a long train ride home and evening was still very warm and fresh when I got to enjoy. I had the chicken tikka over yellow rice with white sauce and chimichurri and it was delicious. Flavors were fantastic and portion was great! A little spicy just FYI for anyone sensitive to spice but I loved it without adding additional hot sauce.
Great place to grab a quick bite. I came after a movie for biryani after reading the reviews but I was too late, just sold out. I got chicken tikka over rice. The gentleman asked me if I wanted sauce and hot sauce. I’m not even sure what kinds of sauces he put on but I’m glad I said yes, very spicy and delicious. Take it across the street to Zuccotti Park and enjoy at one of the tables with the great downtown atmosphere.
I went there yesterday and today and their chicken over rice was delicious. It was extremely spicy so be careful with their hot sauce. The guy was polite. I had tried their chicken birayni before and it was really really awful so pls avoid ordering that. If anyone tried their curry chicken or fish over rice, pls do leave a review as I want to know if it’s good. Take note, the cart location is in front of the giant red cube and when there’s a long queue, you know the food is always good.
Make sure you’re at the right cart at liberty and Broadway. Closest to the corner. This is NOT “Indian Biryani House”.
This cart is always in the same spot with the longest line at lunch. I’ve had the other carts there and they are not as good nor do they serve the chili chicken and lamb.
$10 but worth it. They take card. They finally took the time to update the left side of their cart with an updated menu.
