Seriously Disappointing KFC Experience
KFC really let me down this time. It felt like the entire experience was off.
Tiny Portions, Big Prices: The chicken pieces were way smaller than usual, especially considering the price. It felt like I wasn’t getting my money’s worth.
Burnt and Overcooked: Not only was the chicken small, but it was also overcooked. It was dry, burnt, and hard to chew.
More Batter Than Bird: The coating on the chicken seemed excessively thick and heavy on carbs. There was hardly any chicken meat underneath all that batter.
Overall, this KFC visit was a huge disappointment. It seems like the management may have let their standards slip. I would avoid this particular location until they can up their game.
First time having KFC in NZ. Didn’t live up to the hype it was given. The chicken was smaller and the price was a bit too inflated. I bought 60 dollars worth of food and was a bit puzzled of what I got. 2 Medium chips, 6 original pieces, 8 wicked wings, small gravy, and coleslaw. Coleslaw different taste to Oz KFC. Not worth the price.
The chicken was completely burnt on the bottom (BLACK) and the inside was pink and not properly cooked. This means they fried it on a pan without cleaning it causing it to be burnt but also resulting in it being undercooked (refer to pictures). This was with 3 kids…completely unsafe! The mashed potatoes were like gravy and water…completely runny liquid. Wish I could upload a video of how bad it was. I’ll also be sending an email to KFC directly about the food quality issue as this is dangerous especially if you have kids!
Electronic menus that continue to change what is showing on the screens and have options that are not on the kiosks make ordering confusing. The pita type thing on the cheesy bbq “slider” sandwich was tasteless and a weird texture. They give you locators for the table that you enter the number for, and then call the numbers for pickup. Also, they yell the number a second time before people even have a chance to stand up.
Mini popcorn chicken was very mini, but the large fries were quite large, so they offset each other.
We weren’t given napkins or a fork for the mashed potatoes until we went up and asked for them.
Nice features were the free wifi and some seats have USB chargers.

We recently visited the KFC location on Fort Street, Auckland and unfortunately, it was a truly disappointing experience. Upon receiving our meal, we were shocked to find hair in our food. We promptly brought this to the attention of the manager, expecting an apology and resolution. However to our dismay, the manager displayed a dismissive attitude and offered no apology whatsoever. Instead, she simply stated that there was nothing that could be done about it. This lack of concern for customer satisfaction is truly disheartening and reflects poorly on the service standards of KFC. I hope that steps will be taken to address this issue and ensure that other customers do not have to endure similar experiences in the future.
