What do L’Enfant Plaza visitors reviews this place?
50% food court / 50% shops & services. While I wouldn’t consider this a shopping destination, the large number of restaurants made it a great place to get out of the elements and grab a bite to eat. This facility is very attractive, clean, and convenient adjacent to the Metro (public transport).
Took a minute or two to get our bearings. Decent clean stop on the metro. Did a few things at this stop. Unfortunately the Spy museum was sold out. Found a few plazas to explore. A nice short hike . Also a great lunch spot.
This shopping mall sits a couple of blocks from the national mall. It features a host of shops, restaurants, a post office, major hotel, barber shops, nail salons, and the Spy Museum. The restaurants, focuses toward fast food, and really more toward the lunch crowd. It’s probably one of the cheaper places you will find to eat in DC. Many of the restaurants close for dinner, leaving only a couple open in the 6PM range. There is paid parking here but it also sits atop the Blue, Green, Yellow, Silver, and Orange metro lines, as well as a major bus stop.
The quality of the food here is standard, and I didn’t run into any issues with service. However, they need to do something about the health and safety. The food court is so dirty. There is literal food tossed across the tables, so if you come here, definitely be prepared to clean up beforehand. I also faced a problem here when I was hanging around the L’enfant Plaza and a guy jumped out of the bushes, chasing me. I am a bit frightened to come here, and probably wouldn’t recommend this place to people, unless you are prepared to clean the table in advance.
There are some cleaner parts of the L’Enfant Plaza, but definitely not in the food court. On the bright side, the plaza does link with the nearby metro station.
I hadn’t been there in a while and found the changes were very good. I got a sandwich from Pot Belly, and it was delicious. I loved the fact that there are enough seats to sit on and rest for a minute or two since I have serious back and hip problems.
