What do Loops visitors reviews this place?
My son & I are on a quest to visit restaurants we see on Triple D. We were traveling back to WV from Bowling Green, & we chose Loops to be our spot. We ordered a chicken gyro, the Titan, & the chili cheese fries. The portion sizes were so big (which is great because he’s 16), & everything was so flavorful. The staff was friendly, & the bathrooms were clean. It’s situated in a section of Columbus that is charming & full of great little shops too! We will definitely return!
So I’ve passed this place up a couple of times & said okay ~ let’s give this a “Shot”🗣
Definitely NOT from “Chicago” even with the pictures, maps, flags & decorations. 🌆🏙🌃🚉
Very small portions for the price and the Italian Beef was average with regular bread ,like a hoagie style? Not Italian Bread or Gonnella nor Turano Breads from Chicago. 🤷♂️
The Beef was okay, but lacking some “POW & WOW” ~had it Wet/Dipped with Provolone & mild peppers too….🥖🍖
The Fries were decent with some great flavor & seasoning. Just again, small portions. Got the combo with drink that came with 16once Fanta.
Being from the Southside of Chicago, I’m well experienced with the proper setup & delivery of ALL Chicago food’s & specialties. 😉🤛
I wanted to give this joint a try, and I was spectacle. No doubt, but then again, unlike most folk’s who aren’t from there & never ate the real deal…..✅️🫠
They don’t know what they are missing or how it should taste or be. 😏🤦♂️
So for me, this place is ~
“One and Done” 🫡
No offense ~ I just call it like I see and experience it………I also didn’t feel so good the next few day’s afterwards 🚽🧻🪠

We stopped here for lunch the day we drove into Columbus from Lexington last month and were super impressed with our experience here! I can definitely see why it was featured on Triple D.
First, the service was above and beyond – so friendly and welcoming, it felt like we were having lunch with friends.
And the atmosphere, very cool! So much to look at and take in while we waited (not too long at all) for our food.
And, of course, lunch itself. Wow! I had the loop dog. Usually, I am strictly a “NYC hot dog” kind if person. But I took a chance and am so glad I did – this is a must try! We also split up 1 of the Jackson Street Chicken Gyro and 1 of the Lake Street BBQ Chicken Gyro. Both excellent, clearly fresh and great quality ingredients. The Jackson Street was my favorite – I love that classic flavor – and hubby loved the Lake.
So much more to try on the menu, wish we were locals.
Highly recommend.

My wife and I tryed Loops for the first time a few weeks ago. My wife is from Chicago and was not impressed. The meat had no flavor. I saw the cook put seasoning on the bread, so I wondered how that would factor into the taste. I also tried the Chili Cheese fries and a chicken gyro. The gyro was flavorless as well. It’s sad when you think you have something authentic from your hometown and its a letdown.
Hands down, one of the best meals that I’ve ever had from a quick service-type restaurant. I can see why this place has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. The food was prepared quickly, and it was all super fresh. The feta cheese fries were out of this world. This place is definitely worth a stop when you’re in Columbus!
