What do Lung Tung Bbq Food visitors reviews this place?
We stopped by at this small takeout/eat-in spot for a quick lunch. Hubby was craving for some Chinese bbq, so we chose this eatery located in a tiny food court in a small shopping plaza. We ordered a combo (bbq pork and duck) over rice which came with a small soup and a bowl of noodles (listed as spaghetti) with bbq pork. You can tell that the business is popular with the locals who were ordering bbq takeout.
I prefer this spot over the three joints at
Midland & McNicoll (Evergold Center). The meat is glistening with juices and oil. The drippings get on the rice – mixed with a little bit of that scallion sauce is delicious. The cashier is friendly – communicated with us in English and Cantonese. Two meat combo is $10 after tax. Bring cash!

The cashier service was friendly and speaks both Cantonese and Chinese. I have their 2 item BBQ (roasted pork and char siew) on rice @ $8.90 with soup and sauce provided. It was super tasty and tender meat chopped into smaller slices when other places that just chop them into chunks. The Roasted pork skin also do not fall off easily like most other places. Unfortunately, their Roast duck and Soy chicken meats are not tender or soft and juicy. The meat does not tear off easily from the bone. This is my No.1 place for BBQ pork ONLY.
One of my favourite roast pork places in the city. I am so glad that the one time BlogTO did a feature, it didn’t totally explode the spot and make it impossible to visit (like it has with some other places). Don’t get me wrong, it’s still very busy all the time, but not crazy. Parking can be difficult to find. There are also a few other businesses in the food court, so if you’re in a rush, you can grab something else.
The roast pork is flavourful, juicy, crispy skin, and well-cooked every time. Soup is comforting. Duck is nicely roasted. Lots of veg and rice. Good value.
It’s nothing fancy, but it doesn’t have to be.
We live near downtown, but don’t mind driving to Richmond Hill, Markham or Scarborough for good Chinese food. We get great authentic Chinese won ton noodle soup at Big Trio won ton place (excellent) at 4400 Sheppard Ave. East every week. Decided to try roast pork, bbq duck and honey bbq pork (char sui) at Lung Tung BBQ today – part of a small food court. All very tender and tasty! For honey bbq pork, can choose lean, medium, or fat. We had half order lean, half order medium. Even the lean one very tender. Staff are nice, price reasonable. We will be back for more!
