This review is specifically regarding the evening of August 26st, 2023. I’ve always had good service from the ladies in the past
Went in to grab a quick coffee. It was quiet, yet I waited alone at the cash for 5 mins as the young fellow was filling the counter directly in front of me. Then finally he decides to come to the counter to take my order Ok, no prob, I get it, sometimes we all can get distracted. All good.
But then, he stands there , no greeting, hello, or cordial word. Just looks at me as if I was a nuisance for being there. Ok, fine, maybe he’s just having a rough day. I get that too.
I order a small coffee with 1/2 cream. Easy stuff. He enters it in, still with no acknowledgement, just apathy. I’m starting to get irritated now. Customer service, at it’s most basic level, still exists, right?
I proceed to wait another extended period of time (5-6 mins?) while he stands there aimlessly before he decides to make my order. Keep in mind, it’s not busy, I checked. Empty inside, 3 -4 on shift, and I think 1 drive thru order. Still, I’m a patient person. I’m trying hard to give him the benefit of the doubt.
Finally, he puts my coffee on the counter without as much of a “here you go”, or a simple nod…. zero customer service. I grab my coffee, walk out, only for the proverbial “icing on the cake”….the coffee is both lukewarm (almost cold) and not what I asked for (1/2 cream). I chucked in the garbage as I left, no way I was doing that again.
Now I’ve worked retail in my younger years (over 10 years). I know what it’s like and how tough it can be at times. And I’ve seen bad service in my days, by man….this is below a 1. I’d give it a negative score if I could.
Absolutely won’t be back there. If that’s what it’s like for a coffee, I can only imagine what it’s like for the food.
